Read More ested in a condo for a second home in Atlanta near family, friends and entertainment. By happy timing my son was also interested in purchasing a condo in Atlanta as his first home. I saw a place he might be interested in and offered to view it with him. I requested a viewing on Trulia/Zillow and within minutes had an email from Amanda introducing herself.
My son and I met with her that evening for the viewing. I mentioned to her that my wife and I were also in the market. In a matter of a few days we had multiple viewings and introductions to mortgage lenders ready to work with us.
After my son and we had each selected our top choices, we got down to the negotiations and offers. It was a double blessing that we were going through the process at the same time as our son as we were able to explain each step to him and what to expect, but honestly Amanda was incredibly supportive and was especially attentive to our first time buyer making sure he stayed comfortable, informed and prepared.
There was some difficult and time consuming back and forth over qualifying our son’s condo association for mortgage approval based on recently updated FNMA guidelines. Amanda and Chandler Perrer of Fiber Mortgage worked overtime negotiating and arbitrating between all parties involved, shielding us and our son where they could, involving us when they needed to and above all keeping us informed with minimal stress.
Ultimately our son and we closed the same week and were able to celebrate together with Amanda.
